This fantastic hessionite garnet rough has a lovely bright orange colour approaching that of mandarin garnet. The piece is a good shape for cutting and appears to have no noticeable internal flaws, however it may have the typical whisky and water effect seen in many hessonite garnets (it is not possible to discern this through the skin of the stone).
