This lovely deep red with a hint of magenta ruby is a great stone for both setting as a rough gem or cutting. The piece should yield a cabochon around 1.5-1.7ct and due to its flat shape will will cut a shallow stone that will allow more bright colour to show. It could also cut a shallow faceted stone but it would show some inclusions but as it is a nice colour and also unheated this would also be a viable option.
