This beautiful solid opal actually came of a boulder opal deposit in Winton, Queensland, but as it was such a thick piece of solid opal it was able to be cut in house at our Brisbane store as a solid stone with out any ironstone left on the piece. The piece primarily contains green fire with hints of yellow and blue, it also has intriguing bands of orange potch opal running across the stone and making up the majority of the stones base.
