Lawson Gems Commitment

Lawson Gems prides itself on a commitment to providing quality gemstones with full disclosure of a gem’s nature, treatment, origin and sourcing. There is a high level of product knowledge with an emphasis on being able to supply any information, be it gemmological, commercial or technical to our customers. It is important to completely understand a product such as gemstones, with so many attributes that can affect a gems use. At Lawson Gems you can get advice on cutting, setting and working with gems and even follow along with our educational articles to gain an understanding of the world of gemmology.
Regularly traveling to gem producing countries, we and our partners are able to reliably check up on mining, production and/or supply chains depending on the gems in question. It is by visiting these gem producing/supplying areas and also by buying and cutting rough stones from the mines ourselves, that we are able to ensure the best possible price for our customers. Many companies put huge mark-ups on to gemstones and even larger prices on finished jewellery, this is especially evident when selling to the public. At Lawson Gems we offer prices far below retail and even below wholesale in comparison to many companies, both physical and online.
We also believe that transparency within a business is vital, with this in mind we produce blogs, videos/movies and press packs detailing our ventures. The aim is to give insight on not only how our company works but how the gem and jewellery industry functions as a whole.
Lawson Gems is proudly linked to a number of gemmological institutions, these being: the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), the Gemmological Association of Australia (GAA), the Gemmological Association of Great Britain (Gem-A) and Asian Institute of Gemological Science (AIGS). These Institutions are leading the way in pursuit of gemmological knowledge and creating a worldwide standard for gemstones.
